HCL ME U1 ROOT GUIDE





  • This guide is successfully tested by me.

1. You need a 32 bit OS. (I have used 7 Pro x86).

2. Turn USB debugging ‘ON’ in settings of the tablet.

 Then extract the zip file to desktop:\ & you will see 2 folders as “System” and “Meta-INF”.

4. Download the drivers. Then connect the tablet & install the drivers using device manager.

5. Download ADB link http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1j55p49wl8bx6w1 Extract the archive, go to the folder named ADB. Open an elevated command prompt download there using this link http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?bk3r164nreiorpf

6. CONTINUE WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS.

>adb root (you will see a message “adb is already running as a root”)
>adb devices (you should see your device number)
>adb shell (adb shell will run and daemon tool will also run if this message is not see then close elevated command prompt and restart tablet and continue with following commands)


7. NOW RESTART THE TABLET AND WAIT TILL THE HOME SCREEN APPEARS.NOW CONTINUE WITH FOLLOWING COMMANDS.

>adb shell getprop ro.secure (output should be 0)
>adb shell mount -oremount,rw /dev/block/system /system
>adb push c:\users/”username”/desktop/system/bin/su /system/bin/
>adb push c:\users/”username”/desktop/system/bin/su /system/_install/bin/
>adb shell chmod 4777 /system/bin/su
>adb shell mount -oremount,ro /dev/block/system /system

8. Open the new Superuser app just once.

9. Download apks of BusyBox, Google Play & Titanium Backup (Google is your friend!!).

10. Install BusyBox first, then check the rooting status with Titanium Backup. After that, install Google Play.

    Yes this method is work on u1 tab having 1 Gb Ram and Asphalt game is not working due to not a g senser in tab.

    step 5 in this you download a file in link and install the programmed and extract file to desktop and then after go to the folder named ADB. in the right click mouse button in free space of folder and you see elevated command prompt and click that to open

      hi,i also hv hcl me u1 bt i have with 512mb ram
      u can play gta vice city but i think it will lag slightly
      1. nfs shift
      2.dead trigger
      3. decati challenge
      4. aspahlt 6
      5. contract killer (u can download it in this site also)
      6. gangstar but it will lag so i recommend u 2 use chainfire3d

      and there is lot more to download
      u can download those games which run on micromax funbook p300
      if the games run micromax funbook it will also run on your device

    i like playing all types like nfs pes fl commando i rooted my tab !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank u so much bt i have installed chainfire 3d n while playing flcommando tab lag only while shoot help me n also suggest some good games which are supported

    Tab is not G sensor so don't try game like NFS and any other game which require G sensor. World of Goo, world cricket championship, cut the rope experiments, Gun_Blood etc.

    nfs mw work quite well on my tab bt i did a mistake i choose to intall drivers of chainfire 3d that which is on second number now my my is completely dead n i even dont have cwm back so my my tab was in sevice center for 3 weeks cn u play fl commando on hcl me u1 after rooting

      rooting is not require for frontline commando u can play it without rooting
      it only lags when we run from one place to another but thats ok

    i have a problem in step 6 of rooting guide of hcl me u1
    we have to enter commands one by one bcoz everytime it is showing ")adb is not recoginised as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file"

    other method i don,t no. one option is using superoneclick. if you fail to root then try 2-3 time using superoneclick then you able to root.

    HELLO... CAN ANYBODY SHARE THE ORIGINAL BACKUP OF U1 with 1GB DDR3. I tried update with above ..end up with wifi problems... now want to restore to factory... have no backup...


    please please someone share the original backup...

    and some small games r not wrking and some r working u shuld know that lagging is not only becoz of our tab i experimentd nd found that its alzo because of game apk and sd data so i recommended u to download all games from android.mob.org 90% of the game i dwnlded frm there wrks.............
